What a great weekend

I had such a great weekend that was much needed! I have had a hard last few weeks and it was so nice to just have fun without drama! I drove down to the woodlands on Friday and had a daughter/daddy date because my Mom was at Disneyland with her two besties! We went to Los Cucos and I just had so much fun- my Dad is so great, I am so lucky to be blessed with a Dad who I am so close to. Then Saturday my sister and I headed to Galveston for a beach day with Bella and Lady (our dogs) the traffic was terrible and it was overcast but we still had so much fun just getting away! My sister truly is one of my best friends and I am not sure what I would do without her! She always tells the truth and is so loyal, things that are hard to find in people, I just love my big sis :) Then Saturday night I got to spend some much needed quality time with my childhood bestie Rebekah who by the way is.... PREGNANT! I found out last week but just needed to see her in person and congratulate her- it was so good to see her and I could not be more excited about the baby on the way! I love her so much and I am so blessed to be able to share in her joy!

Sunday I got to see my phi lamb girls at Laura's first wedding shower! I have the huge honor of standing next to Laura in one of the most important days of her life! I am so excited to share in this with her and SO excited about the wedding! The shower was so much fun and I can't wait for the others coming up.

I have another belated announcement, my good friend Jalei from work that alot of you met during my wedding festivities is pregnant as well!! I am SO excited for her and Lane, they are naming their little girl Elliott Reese- which I think is adoreable! She is due in August and is the cutest pregnant girl ever!!

Here are a few of my favorite pics from this weekend, love jen

Happy Easter everyone!!

I had a really great weekend! Friday night Raven, Katie and I went to McKinney Bible Church for their Good Friday service and it was really great- I am so lucky to have them both in my life :). Saturday Ryan and I spent the day together at the house, trying to relax b/c we had a huge drive ahead of us that night- Ryan went to work and I ran around getting easter supplies. Saturday night a ton of our friends got together for an "easter bbq" it was so fun and the food was great! Ryan got home from work around 11 and brought Easter surprises for me, he bought me flowers and a hollow chocolate bunny which is my absolute favorite easter candy. Then it was off to Houston- yes again in the middle of the night! We got in around 3:30 and crashed to wake up a few hours later for chuch with my family. We woke up to easter baskets from my parents- mine was princess themed of course and ryan's was camoflauge, army men and all- it was so cute! We went to church and then had our annual Egg hunt and Los Cucos which is amazing mexican food we always have on Easter- this year Ryan and I found $21.00 and tons of candy! It was alot of fun because all 3 of the boys are old enough now to get excited and understand what we are doing, we were able to just relax and I even took a nap before heading back to Fort Worth. Although it was a long 24 hours, it was so fun and Im glad we went. Here are a few of the pics from our weekend :)

Wedding fever!!

This weekend was insanely busy to say the least! Friday night was pretty relaxing, I just hung out with my girls and we went to eat some fabulous mexican food. Saturday, one of my great friends Laura and her amazing fiance Adam came to visit! Ryan and I made breakfast and we showed them our house. It was such a good time and I was so glad we got to see them!! Their wedding is in August, I have the honor of being a bridesmaid and Ryan is so excited to officiate! We can't wait until their big day in August! Saturday afternoon Ryan and I ran around doing errands and he went to work and I did laundry for what seemed like forever! Then I went to dinner with a few friends and when Ryan got home we headed out to Houston! That's right, we left Fort Worth at midnight!! It tooks us such a long time to get home, traffic was not on our side. We finally rolled into The Woodlands at 4am! We then had to get up at 8am to go have breakfast with my mother-in-law which was so much fun, we have missed her! We also hit up the art show on the woodlands waterway which was great. Then, we headed out to Kingwood to see Ryan's dad and stepmom for lunch, we grilled out at their house and caught up. After that we headed back to the woodlands for a friend's party and then had to get back up to fort worth that night! Needless to say it was a crazy weekend and we were exhausted when we got back. It was great to see everyone but it gets tiring being the people who live far away and have to drive down for everything!! It was such a great weekend :)

Here I go again!

Life has been crazy and I have completely quit blogging! However, I am going to try again! Everything is going really great- work is SO busy but I am so happy with my career path and feel so lucky to have a job that I love so much. Ryan and I got married on December 13th and it was the happiest day of my life thus far! I am so blessed to have found someone who loves me for me, flaws and all! Those of you who know me well understand that I had to go through quite alot of frogs to find my prince and honestly never thought I would find someone who I fit so well with. I say this not to be cheesy but to be encouraging to my fellow girls who are still dealing with the frogs! It is so hard not having someone or having someone who is not right for you and I just want to say hang in there! God has someone for you that will come at the exact moment he has planned, it will be the moment your heart is ready and when your husband is ready! Life has thrown me some curve balls,I never thought I would be living 4 hours away from where I grew up with a husband in seminary but I can honestly say looking back that God was preparing me for this exact moment in my life! I have definately had some hard, lonely nights while living here simply b/c starting over is hard... it's hard finding new people and even harder adjusting to being far away from the old friends. Ryan works nights so there are many nights that I am eating alone and just living life alone. However, I strongly believe that God has put me here in these lonely times to draw me closer to Him. My relationship with God has become so much stronger just in the past months, especially the past 3 months. God has also blessed me with am amazing group of friends in my neighborhood and through work. These people have played a huge part in this new chapter of my life. I will also say that although a few of my friendships have changed from home I also have grown closer to others and the distance hasn't changed a thing which is great! I am going to try to blog more, really try this time! I want to share not only what is going on in my life but also what is going on with God and I. This is totally inspired by one of my bff's Lindsee, I just want you to know that your blogs have gotten me through alot of bad days along with our phone dates :) So thank you for being such an encouragement and as you have always been a spiritual leader in my life! I love you so much! Ok everyone, keep checking up on me- it might not be daily but I am going to at least shoort for weekly!! Wish me luck!
